Programs and Services: Day Services
Our Day Service programs are designed to help people transition from school to work, obtain meaningful employment and live happy, fulfilled and independent lives.
Employment and Training Over 90 percent of the people we place in jobs keep them. We have training programs in food service, manufacturing, fulfillment, packaging and assembly, landscaping, painting, housekeeping and automobile detailing.
School to Work Transition Planning Leaving the safety of a school environment can be difficult. We help people make the transition from school to work with job training, counseling and job shadowing.
Career and Community Development We actively recruit local businesses and community organizations to provide jobs for the people in our program. We work off-site or in our own facility, performing long-term and short-term assignments. We offer fast service at reasonable prices, and our workers are fully supervised and have liability insurance.
Health and Wellness Initiative NuPath integrates the concepts of health and wellness throughout our program models, proactively supporting the health of each person’s mind, body and spirit. Our ISSA Board Certified Health and Fitness Consultant supports individual fitness goals and oversees and maintains our fitness equipment. He also provides specialized technical assistance to staff as well as access and referrals for special accommodations, like downhill skiing or long distance running.
Referrals from our employment and training programs come from family members and advocates, school systems, the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services (DDS), the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health (DMH) and Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC). Funding for these services comes from DDS, DMH and MRC, charitable donations and private payers.
