Residential Services: A Place to Call Home

NuPath Inc.’s beautifully maintained homes and apartments are located throughout Middlesex County in the cities/towns of Andover, Billerica, Burlington, Lexington, Lincoln, Lynnfield, Medford, Reading, Tewksbury, Wilmington and Woburn. Our residential programs offer customized staffing and support to help each person live as independently as possible and to become active, contributing members of their communities.

NuPath supports a philosophy that fosters a deep sense of personal belonging within the unique fabric of each community.  It is not enough to just live in a neighborhood; rather it is our fundamental conviction that the men and women we serve become fully integrated, contributing members of their communities.  We are never satisfied with just “fitting in,” but use even the most ordinary daily life ritual to help educate those around us and to promote continued advocacy in our journey toward full acceptance and real inclusion.

Since 2003 NuPath has opened six new residential programs that have become home to 30 young men and women living with Autism and developmental disabilities.  These unique programs are nestled in beautiful neighborhoods where the NuPath mission has quietly become integrated into the rhythm and soul of each community.

Our men and women shop for their groceries, plant spring flowers, host 4th of July cookouts, rake leaves from their yards, entertain family at Thanksgiving and host Super Bowl parties.  We look in on sick neighbors, help free cars stuck in snow, bake cookies for new neighbors and vote in elections.

At the end of the day our greatest success is measured most proudly through the ordinary life rituals that prove our belonging!

Referrals for residential services come from family members and advocates, the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services (DDS) and the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health (DMH). Services are funded through DMR, DMH contracts as well as private payers and charitable donations.
